Thank you for visiting our website.
On the pages that follow we have tried to answer the most commonly asked questions about hearing loss and its remediation, whether through medical means (medication or surgery) or by amplification (hearing aids and assistive listening devices).
Hearing loss, its consequences, and what can be done for it are frequently not well understood by those who suffer from it, nor by their family and friends. Largely because of misunderstandings and misconceptions, many people with hearing loss do not seek a solution to their problem, and as a result suffer needless social isolation and embarrassment.
The mission of our practice in general, and this website in particular, is to clear up as best we can these misunderstandings and misconceptions; in short, to demystify "hearing loss", and to encourage more people to rediscover the joy and blessing of good hearing.
FOR ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ABOUT HEARING LOSS AND HEARING AIDS, CLICK ON "Hearing aid FAQs" near the top of the page. You may also click on "Services" or "Hearing Library" for additional answers to questions about hearing aids, hearing loss, dizziness and vertigo, and other related medical issues.
If you have any questions that we have not answered, please give us a call or send us an e-mail; we are here to help.
Sincerely, David Prager, MD, Glenn Kaye, MD, Karen Altobelli, CRNP, & Joseph M. Fulfs, AuD
